Difficult access and a plot set on a steep slope did not deter the Inside Out Garden Rooms team from creating this beautiful garden room
Bespoke garden room
We were contacted to design and construct a bespoke garden room to enjoy the vista from their garden during retirement. A difficult site set on a steep slope where the only access was through the house and up many steps!
We first created a level site by process of cut and fill – transferring waste spoil from the site was not an option. We built a concrete reinforced wall to retain the garden above the site, then installed the insulated base on concrete friction piles. Possibly one of the most challenging sites we have worked on, but a lovely customer, great result with fantastic views made it all worth our while.

The quality of the build is excellent. Even now, three years after completion, there is very little degradation.
We also appreciated the good humour of the site team during construction as the site is in a difficult location and required a lot of heavy carrying
