Design Brief:
To design and build a garden office with two separate rooms plus additional storage and dedicated power supply.
The building plot was on sloping ground and given the size of the building it was no small undertaking to level the ground and disperse in excess of twenty tonnes of earth. We then built a retaining block wall incorporating an approach ramp to a concealed doorway and steps down to the main entrance.
The site was a new building plot without any services so we arranged that Western power provide a dedicated power supply.
The area to the front of the building was also levelled. Heavy duty landscaping fabric and stone chippings were laid, creating parking for visiting clients.
A large amount of glass on the rear elevation provided a wonderful view across the valley to Dartmoor and ensure the building could be well ventilated on the hottest summer day.
